Blossburg Tenants Celebrate Opening of New Satellite Office
Tenants residing at Riverside Park in Blossburg, PA gathered to celebrate the grand opening of a satellite office in a building that currently houses their laundry facilities and a community room.
“We wanted to convert a space that would give our tenants easier access to our staff,” said Executive Director, Kelley Cevette. “It will be much more convenient for our residents to simply walk a few short steps to pay their rent, submit a work order or ask questions.”
To date, the Case Manager and Foreman responsible for the Riverside Park buildings were both located in the Authority’s Central Office in Riverside Plaza in Blossburg. Although it is a relatively short distance between the Central Office and the site, for many of the Authority’s elderly, handicapped and disabled tenants, the walk was simply too much for them at times.
“I know I’ll feel better knowing that a good number of our tenants do not have to trek out in the ice and snow to speak with me face-to-face,” said Case Manager, Candice Chase. “This will just be easier access for all of us.”
Foreman, Mark Strange also felt the new office would be beneficial. “It might take a little while to get used to the quiet,” he joked.
