Tioga County Homeowner Rehab Programs Accepting Applications!

TIOGA COUNTY HOME
The Tioga County Commissioners have been awarded a grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to once again facilitate the Tioga County Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program. Under the Housing Rehabilitation Program, applicants who meet the eligibility criteria may receive a grant to correct major code deficiencies, lead-based paint and/or radon hazards, and to improve energy efficiency. One hundred percent of these funds will be used to benefit low or very low income populations. Applications are available, please see our Housing Programs tab- Housing Program List or by calling 570-638-2151. Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. 

TIOGA COUNTY PHARE
The Tioga County Housing Authority, with support from the Tioga County Commissioners, requested and received PHARE funding to administer a grant to provide financial assistance for eligible homeowners, in Tioga County, with rehabilitation of their properties. The PHARE 90/10 Housing Rehabilitation Program is designed to restore existing housing by promoting energy conservation, providing handicap accessibility improvement, and eliminating health and safety hazards, as well as preservation of property with consideration for historical value.  Applications are available, please see our Housing Programs tab- Housing Program List or by calling 570-638-2151.
