AARP’s Tax Aide Program to Assist Tenants in Bradford County

Volunteers from AARP's Tax Aide program will be helping public housing residents in Bradford County again this year. Residents will have the opportunity to file their taxes and rent rebates, for free, without having to leave the building! Click the link to see the scheduled dates.

A representative from the Nutrition Program at Mansfield University spoke with our tenants about healthy living and performed a cooking demonstration. All tenants who attended enjoyed lunch and left with a brand new 83 piece cooking set! Click to see pictures of the event!

Veterans Day Flag Dedication

On November 11, 2014, Veteran’s Day, residents of Page Manor in Athens gathered together to dedicate a new POW/MIA Flag in honor of all veterans, past and present. Residents and staff are very thankful to the Sons of the American Legion in Athens for donating the flag.

Fight the Flu with TBHRA

TBHRA Staff has coordinated with Rite Aid Pharmacies in Sayre and Wellsboro to provide Flu Shot Clinics to residents in Tioga and Bradford County public housing, at no out-of-pocket cost.

Fresh Express Expands to Tioga County

In addition to three existing sites in Bradford County, the Tioga/Bradford Housing Authority and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank have added an additional distribution site in Blossburg for its Fresh Express Program.

Back to School with TBHRA!

School-aged tenants throughout public housing in Tioga and Bradford County celebrated the back to school season with new school supplies, new clothes, and for some, new backpacks courtesy of the Tioga/Bradford Housing Authority.

Tanglewood Nature Center

Tenants at both Page and Keystone Manors enjoyed a presentation from the Tanglewood Nature Center last Thursday. Local Susquehanna Valley Audubon Society member, Ingeborg Wells, also a resident at Page Manor, coordinated the event, and more than thirty residents and family members from both buildings attended.

Tenant Celebrates 90th Birthday

Dottie Mosher, of Pinnacle Towers in Wellsboro, celebrated her 90th birthday on August 1, 2014. Over 100 friends and family members attended her party and helped Dottie make this milestone one to remember.

Canton Townhouse Residents Enjoyed Fun in the Sun Event

Twenty-four residents of the Canton Townhouses came out to enjoy the Fun in the Sun Picnic hosted by the Tioga/Bradford Housing Authority on Wednesday, July 30th. During the event, tenants received important summer safety and bicycle safety information from Melissa Sentiff, the Safe Kids Coalition Coordinator.
