Family Field Days at Tabor Townhouses
Twenty-two residents of Tabor Townhouses attend the Family Field Day event on June 24th. After the rain postponed the event on Tuesday, the sun was shining and the weather was perfect for the outdoor event on Wednesday. Residents listened to a Summer Safety presentation that was prepared by Amerihealth Northeast’s Community Health Navigator, Melissa Farinesh. The presentation included tips for staying hydrated & protected from the sun and for being safe while hiking, biking and swimming. The children participated in a “What’s Your Favorite Summer Activity” sidewalk chalk contest, and enjoyed outdoor activities such as beanbag toss and frisbee. Residents also enjoyed a picnic lunch. All children in attendance received a free day pass to the Blossburg Community Pool, and the parents were entered into a door prize drawing for a movie theater gift pack, donated by the Victoria Theater in Blossburg, Pa.
