Reading Glasses Donation!
Housing Authority Receives Reading Glasses from Chamber and Walmart
The Tioga/Bradford Housing Authority in Mansfield, PA. recently received a donation of reading glasses from The Mansfield Chamber of Commerce and the Mansfield Walmart.
Ben Landis, Store Manager, and Tina Wanat, Claims Supervisor, for Mansfield Walmart, along with Dawn Hull, Executive Director for the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce, arrived at the Housing Authority’s Mansfield Office with their donation of over 300 pairs of reading glasses that will be distributed among Housing Authority tenants in need of a new pair of readers.
Landis explained, “We had a surplus of the reading glasses and felt that we could really do something good with them. I reached out to Tina and she coordinated the donation with Dawn Hull at the Chamber.” Hull, who identified the Housing Authority to receive the donation, stated, “It’s wonderful to have such strong community partners that we can reach out to.”
Tioga/Bradford County Housing Authority Executive Director, Sean Sember, was on site to accept the generous donation.
“It is always appreciated when our community partners and local retailers think of our tenants,” said Sember. “These glasses will help a lot of our tenants who simply do not have the transportation or financial means to purchase them on their own.”
