STATEMENT REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID‐19)
Statement Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Tioga/Bradford County Housing Authority’s primary concern is the health and well-being of our residents. We are continually monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and have implemented several additional safety measures to assure we are doing our part to lessen the transmittal of the virus. Building Managers are currently foregoing a majority of in-person visits and appointments and attempting to utilize the telephone and mail as a means to submit required paperwork to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Our building maintenance workers are diligently sanitizing all communal areas and restrooms and are completing only essential tasks to lessen the amount of interaction occurring within the buildings. Hand sanitizing stations are being replenished on a consistent basis and we have asked that visitors refrain from entering our buildings if there is even a slight risk they could transmit the virus. We have asked that residents refrain from congregating in the common areas and postpone scheduled social events and activities.
In some cases, established preventative plans related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) are changing on a daily basis and we ask that our tenants, staff, partner agencies, and the general public continue to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner to assure we all remain safe. Our Authority will continue to monitor this crisis and base our decisions moving forward on the guidance given by HUD, the CDC, and our federal and local government agencies.
Sincerely,
The Tioga/Bradford County Housing Authority Administration and Staff
